The Birthday Cake

In a hurry and in a low voice, in the bustle of the street was ordered this cake.
As a secret, by such a lovely lady, the daughter of the 80 year old birthday lady.
Whispering the secret in the noise of the busy street as if her mum was standing next to her (when she was in a huge building actually, in her room with not even the smallest chance to hear a word) was so cute, funny and... touching. Really.
I wish everyone had a person who is thinking about them like this daughter about her mum.
And if I needed to choose just one, the best thing about making cakes would be that opportunity to participate in someone's joy because, even if it sounds a little bit naive, for me this is the essence of everything - sharing daily, such important, simply joy.
I don't know whether this celebration cake fulfills the expectations of the Birthday Lady but I know that I had a great pleasure
in composing all those incredibly delicious tastes. The cake was supposed to be all walnut but also coffee flavoured at the same time and necessarily with chocolate, and one more thing
 - with some violet accents as this is the favourite colour of  the birthday lady.
It was a little challenge as I was worried that all those flavours altogether could be quite heavy, which I didn't want to happen.
So I created this composition of walnut sponge, very light coffee cream hidden in dark chocolate ganache with little hope that they would like it. The cake was delivered and I met such a lovely lady and a very elegant man, her dad.
They both came to pick up this cake, it seemed that this birthday cake was so important...
And I am really curious who the Birthday Lady is - she must be such a unique person!

W pospiechu i sciszonym glosem, w halasie i zgielku ulicy byl zamawiany ten tort.
Mysle, ze to wielka radosc miec kogos, kto mysli o nas w ten sposob, kto pamieta naprawde i pragnie dac nam usmiech.
Postanowilam polaczyc orzechowy biszkopt z lekkim kawowym kremem i otoczyc czekoladowym ganache.

A torcik mozecie ocenic sami:)

And even if it's not your birthday, treat yourself to a piece of cake (or two),
there's always room for dessert after all!
