Warm welcome on a chilly Monday morning!
One month and Christmas will be here. Sometimes I wonder when exactly Christmas begins, because when I go to the shop, lets say in late October or very early November, it seems like I missed something, because everywhere there are a lot of Christmas decorations and festive chocolates. Yes, I know it's market law! In one way it's good, because you can prepare your gifts and cards without haste. But sometimes I feel like we are losing our natural rhythm.
Sounds a bit nostalgic..? Well...

But now it's not October any more and next Sunday, December will start, which means that my children will start their advent calendar - just one chocolate per day, in the early morning, even before breakfast (such a Christmassy sign in our home) So for me the first day of December is a day when I start to plan my Christmas - my home made, very traditional dishes,
festive decor, delicious, fresh cakes and, of course, gifts!

And as I have always been doing my Christmas gifts for my family and friends by myself
(apart from the wishes in letters to St. Claus, of course), I think that a home made hamper is the perfect idea. An the beginning it was just a box of delicious, festive biscuits but from last year my hampers started to be bigger and more festive, which makes me happy, because I can be more creative and put my love for aesthetics and good taste in my hampers... You know it all smells of chocolate, cookies, cinnamon, oranges and all those ribbons and bows, and the whisper of paper, when you wrap the gifts and when they're unwrapped later. It sounds like a box of treasure for me. I devote all my attention when I am doing this because I think that it's so important to show to our friends and family how important they are for us. And honestly there are not that many moments in our everyday life when we say to them "Thank you for being for me!". Yes, it happened, a very nostalgic post, but this is where all begins - with and for the people close to us!
