Hello! Cake for Sunday? Yes, I wish but have you been in this situation when you start to search your kitchen cabinets, drawers, shelves, even your handbag... Searching, searching, sometimes discovering very surprising things, about which you've forgotten long time ago and you're happy to see them again but there's still no...chocolate, which you are looking for. Yes - there are those days when I really need some chocolate. Sometimes one piece is enough but sometimes not.
And if at the same time my family desperately wants a cake, then - one piece of chocolate goes for me and the rest for brownie. And I am twice as lucky, because I ate my chocolate and I am going to eat the brownie, which is full of chocolate, too. By the way, the very first recipe for brownie was published in 1904 in a book called "Service Club of Chicago's Cook Book"
and after so many years brownie is still so popular and the best thing is that if someone gets bored of the basic recipe, you can always add anything you like to this chocolate cake - pistachios, marshmallows or whatever else. I like the basic version the most, because with this piece of brownie nothing interferes with the taste of finest chocolate.
And I hope you are not on a diet but if you are then do not worry because, as I read,
"A little too much chocolate is just about right"!

By the way, what if there is no chocolate in the house? It happened to me, not just once to be frank, and I admit I panicked, unfortunately. Does this meant I am addicted...
No, I'm sure, I am not. What about you?
